And these are not programs written by people looking to make a quick buck: they are well respected programs designed by fitness experts. * There is a program designed for older lifters as well as three programs designed for women. * Unlike most apps these programs actually help you workout: the programs will automatically advance weights depending upon how well you did, reduce weights if you haven't lifted in a while (or depending upon the program have stopped making progress), and tell you how much you should be lifting in each workout. * You can configure the app to tell it what plates, bumper plates, dumbbells, and magnetic microplates you wish to use for each exercise. * The app will tell you what plates to put on a barbell (or on machines like the leg press). * Lots of different options are supported: variable rep ranges, as many reps as possible sets, warmup sets, backoff sets, mesocycles, and more. * You can easily deactivate exercises you don't wish to do. * A stopwatch is included so you can control how long you wish to rest between sets. * Exercises can use free weights, machines, be timed, use body weight, or be cardio. * All the exercises in the programs include a quick description along with a link to a web page or video with more details. The description can be edited so you can add whatever notes are helpful to you. * Every aspect of the built in programs can be edited and brand new programs can be created (this requires an in-app purchase).
